Curriculum Consultant, Kathy Norris Graham
Kathy’s love for teaching began thirty-five years ago at First Baptist Church Biloxi. Thirty-five years later, children are still a very important part of her life. She has a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from USM and a Masters in Elementary Education from William Carry University. Kathy is also a National Board Certified Teacher (Early Childhood Generalist / 3 yr-3rd grade). Her public school career began in Biloxi in 1978 but she has been in the Ocean Springs School District for twenty-seven years.
Kathy is a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She resides in Ocean Springs with her husband Jered and youngest son Austin. Her daughter, Amanda, lives with her husband Eddie and their son Fisher. Her Son, Adam, lives with his wife Nicole in Seattle, WA.
Lead Teacher, Sandra Alberts
Sandra’s hands-on approach to teaching allows her the opportunity to instantly connect and make friends with students. As a native of Puerto Rico she is bilingual which offers broader horizon in her teaching skills. She attended the University of Sacred Heart in Puerto Rico and continued education in Early Childhood Education. Collectively she has over fourteen years of teaching experience in early childhood education leading up to her position at In The Zone where she continues her aspirations to enrich the educational experience of her students and work hard to ensure learning is enjoyable.
2′s Teacher, Kim Allen
Ms. Kim has been with In The Zone since June 2010 and is a life- long resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 2002 and began her college career at The University of Southern Mississippi. Kim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice. She has over five years’ experience in the childcare setting and is a Certified Childcare Director with the Mississippi Department of Health. Kim is a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Biloxi. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and making Saints Scrapbooks with her niece and nephews. Her community actives includes coaching little league cheerleading, and volunteering her time as a tutor.
2′s Teacher, Lindsey Broadus
Ms. Lindsey joined the In the Zone family in September 2011. She is a 1997 honors graduate of East Central High School and attended MGCCC. She worked as a substitute teacher for Jackson County School District- Vancleave Elementary Schools before joining In the Zone. She resides in Vancleave with her four children, where she enjoys arts & crafts and sports activities with them.
3′s Teacher, Paula Brooks
Mrs. Paula’s love for children is what has led her into the teaching profession. Having a pre-school aged son helps Mrs. Paula to better understand the needs of her students. She began her teaching career at First Baptist Pascagoula before joining the In The Zone Family. Mrs. Paula resides in Vancleave with her husband and son.
4′s Teacher, Stephanie Morrison
Mrs. Stephanie joined the In The Zone Family in August 2011. A native of Ohio, Stephanie has over 15 years of experience in the childcare industry. She holds a Vocational Certificate in Early Childhood Development, a National Child Development Associate and is a Certified Childcare Director with the Mississippi Department of Health. Stephanie has three children and has been married since 2002. Her family resides in Grand Bay, AL.
4′s Teacher, Georgia Vallas
As a graduate of Northeastern Illinois University, with a B.A. in Elementary Education, Georgia began her career in teaching in New Orleans. It was there, teaching elementary school art, where she found her passion for teaching young students. After years in New Orleans, Georgia relocated to Mississippi to further her educational career. She is passionate, and enthusiastic about the possibilities of teaching young minds and forming futures!
